What you’ll find

Four reasons to make Grace Pavilion home

If you’re searching for deep Bible study, a real prayer group, or worship that feels like the church you grew up in, you’re in the right place.

Deep Bible study, not shallow sermons

We put Scripture above tradition and culture, and we teach it plainly and thoroughly. Questions are welcome during teaching, because that’s how faith becomes your own.

  • Sunday School: teaching classes at 9:30 AM on in-person Sundays
  • Bible Study Hour: every Wednesday at 7:00 PM on Zoom
  • Teens: Scripture-based classes for ages 13–18, plus salvation and baptismal classes

A praying church, with prayer groups you can join

Prayer isn’t an add-on here. It’s how we live. We pray with faith, grounded in the promises of God’s Word, for one another, our families and our city.

  • Prayer in every service, built on Scripture
  • Night Prayer Vigil & Communion: 3rd Friday of every month, 8:00–11:00 PM, in person
  • Prayer team: intercessors who pray over every request
  • Prayer requests: confidential, any time, online

Joyful, African-rooted worship

Grace Pavilion is a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, a Pentecostal church founded in Nigeria in 1952 with parishes around the world. Our worship carries that heritage: fervent prayer, vibrant praise and joyful dance, and deep reverence for God, blended with contemporary worship.

Whether you grew up in an African church or have never set foot in one, you’ll be welcomed as family.

A family, not a crowd

We value every person who walks through our doors. Children are a priority, teenagers have a voice, and everyone is encouraged to serve. People from all walks of life worship here together.

Questions

Finding a church in San Antonio

Is Grace Pavilion an African church?
Grace Pavilion is a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), a Pentecostal church founded in Nigeria in 1952 that now has parishes around the world. Our worship carries that African Pentecostal heritage of fervent prayer, joyful praise and dance, and deep reverence for God’s Word, blended with contemporary worship. People from all walks of life and every background worship with us.
Is Grace Pavilion only for Africans?
Not at all. Our heritage is African, but our mission is to win souls and make disciples across all of San Antonio. Hispanic, African American, white and African families, longtime Texans and newcomers are all part of God’s family, and you’ll be welcomed as family here. The Bible pictures heaven filled with people “from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages” (Revelation 7:9), and we want our church to look like that too.
Where can I find an in-depth Bible study in San Antonio?
Join our Bible Study Hour every Wednesday at 7:00 PM on Zoom. Questions are welcome. On in-person Sundays (1st, 2nd and 4th), Sunday School teaching classes start at 9:30 AM before worship at 10:00 AM.
Is there a prayer group I can join?
Yes. We pray in every service, our prayer team intercedes for every request we receive, and on the 3rd Friday of every month we gather for a Night Prayer Vigil & Communion from 8:00 to 11:00 PM. You can also join the prayer team or send a prayer request.
I live outside San Antonio. Can I still be part of the church?
Absolutely. Whether you’re in New Braunfels, Schertz, Boerne, Seguin or farther out, you’re welcome. Worship in person on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays near the airport, and stay connected online on the other Sundays, at Wednesday Bible Study on Zoom, and through Teens Ministry on Zoom.
What does it mean to find a “church home”?
A church home is a church family where you belong: where you’re known, grow in your faith, are prayed for, and use your gifts to serve. We’d love for Grace Pavilion to be that place for you and your family.
